The Tet Holiday

The Tet holiday is the new year day for the Vietnamese. This holiday was formed thousands of year before. This holiday is for families to be unite and have fun. The Tet holiday is the best holiday in Vietnam because no one work on Tet. On Tet, Vietnamese families go visit the grandfather and grandmother. The adults will have to give the kids lucky money. The food for Tet are Tet cake, Chung cake, and Day cake.The Chung Cake and the Day cake taste very good,too. On Tet there are dancing lions and Mr. Dia the teaser of the lions,just like in Chinese Lunar New Year.

Hi everyone, my name is Mickey Truong (who is not a mouse), and welcom to my blog. I'm eleven years old, 'm in grade 6, my school is the American International School. my family has four members, Mom, Dad, little brother, and me. we live in Binh thanh district in Ho Chi Minh City, in Vietnam. my favorite hobbie is to read books. that;s why on Nov. 14, 2007, the school sent me to talk with the American literature genius, Adora Svitak. I love history very much, but I like the ancient history and the prehistoric history. So in my blog I would love to talk about history. This is the place I want to go most, Vancouver Space Centre. This is one of the locations I visited last summer camp in Vancouver, Canada. This place is off the hook to me so I will tell you about it now: This is the Space Centre. This location is in they central city because they could only make business in central city. In this Space Centre you could find a lot of information about space here. This building might looks small to you, but it’s about 40 ft. The outside of the building is decorated with lots of space pictures. There is a metal crap. That crap is one of the groups of star. The story of the crap began with a mythology of Greece. When Hercules, one of a Greek hero, has a battle with a giant crap, he killed it and kicks it into space. That’s how the stars connection was form, and the crap statue. I love to go there, though I was there once, there’s a lot of thing I see there like: Michael Collins space suit and I could touch a meteor there. How neat!

The Great Wall was built about 221 BC by the Qin Dynasty. Qin Shin Huang was the leader of China in 221 BC. To stop the invaders from Mongolia, the Xiongnu, Qin Shin Huang ordered to make a wall like a fort to stop the invaders and make a fort to connect the northern part of the territory. For that event thousands of people in China died because of diseases, famine, and hard work. For that event , again, Qin Shin Huang burned a lot of books, so that the people don’t have books to read and get to work, a lot of Chinese were very uneducated then. This picture shows part o the wall in Beijing when it’s winter. Ilove to go there because I could visit a wonder of the world and the world larges graveyard for the unlucky people that died because of building it. Boo!

Shah Jahan, the emperor of the Mughal Empire built this wonder for his dead wife Mumtaz Mahal, this how the building got it’s name. This building is white, this location is in India. The building has four towers and one central building. By the side of it people planted trees and make a pond. This palace looks very royalty. The towers must be the guards’ home and the main building was for the Rajah, king of India, princesses, prince to live. I love to go here because I think this palace is one of the mysterious wonder of the world.
